Rüdiger Maeßen is CEO of Hill+Knowlton Strategies. Before joining H+K, he was Global Partner at Ketchum Pleon managing the German Headquarter in Düsseldorf as well as the Bonn office with more than 100 employees alltogether. Additionally, he was Head of Digital & Social Media for more than 10 years, responsible for the digital business of Ketchum Pleon Germany, as well as the research and analytics department.
Previous positions of Rüdiger Maeßen include the consulting firm Compartner as well as Marchfirst, where he advised large corporations in e-business and e-commerce projects as head of account management.
His focus lies on strategic communications, advice on digital transformation processes, the development of integrated communications concepts and campaigns as well as crisis management. Additionally, he has many years of experience in successfully advising communications departments undergoing restructuring processes.
Over the last 20 years he has consulted many listed companies and international corporations. He worked on nationally and internationally awarded projects with the Metro Group, Bayer AG, Bosch Group, Haniel Group, Johnson & Johnson, EnBW and many others. With his client Caritas International he recently won three European Excellence Awards for the «Keys of Hope» campaign as Best Campaign, as well as in the categories «NGOs & Associations» and «Germany, Switzerland, Austria».
